Pin Art By Philip Karlberg
Photographer Philip Karlberg has just created a unique shoot for Plaza Magazine, sculpting famous faces by simply using clever lighting and carefully arranged wooden pins. “A couple of months ago I came up with an idea I have had in mind for years. I just did not know what I could use it for. But then I did a test with sunglasses, and it really turned out great. So I sent an image with the test to Plaza Magazine, and a week later I started shooting. It was a real challenge to ‘sculpt’ the faces of some classic wearers of sunglasses. It took me 6 days to shoot the 6 faces, and around 1200 sticks were used.”

I think the government invented cats to keep us distracted from bigger things, I know there’s not as many cats in the world as there are on the internet, I know it !
Ever have those moments where all you want to do is run around a forest half naked and be a lost boy? Okay, no….maybe just me? Well, prepare to have that moment! Enter: Jinja Safari. I know I’ve written about these fellas in the past but words can hardly describe how they are filling my soul. They really are quite captivating. Their perfect combination of vocals and beats will make you feel such an incredible sense of calmness yet at any moment you could explode with a childlike youthfulness. Okay, so maybe my slight obsession and association with anything of or relating to Peter Pan makes me a little biased but I’m telling you these guys will make you feel. Give ‘em a listen, I guarantee your mind and heart will race with such an incredible velocity.

Via i was made for another world.
A little sketch I did based on a dream I had where I was a small homeless kid with a giant black dog. We had to sneak into houses at night to find a place to sleep and I stole a giant loaf of bread with blue sprinkles on it and it was the best bread ever, though I don’t remember much else.
Step 1: I loosely sketch out the character I’m drawing, paying more attention to pose and anatomy over small details. I’m using basic shapes, mostly circles, here to help me form my character. I usually sketch things such as hair and accessories in a different color so I can keep them separated from the main part of my character because…this step is pretty messy. xD
Step 2: Detailing! I go back over my rough sketch to make a finalized sketch that includes all the details I wanna have included on the finished picture. This time, markings and other smaller details are sketched in a different color just cause! xD
Step 3: Lineart. I ink with a size 4px hard, round brush in Photoshop with my picture doubled the size!
Step 4: Flat colors.
Step 5: Shading, add signature and website, aaaand finished! It’s all ready to upload to my art sites now. <3
